TUTORIAL | Urban Decay Smoky Palette Makeup
12:39 PMToday I wanted to share a tutorial using none other than the totally sexy Urban Decay Smoky Palette which I previously reviewed here. Although there are a variety of looks that you can create with this palette, I thought it would only be appropriate to share its namesake look: the smoky eye.
This smoky is very red carpet glamorous but not too over-the top so I consider it more of an everyday smoky you'd wear on a date night or going to a special event.
Yes mom, you can wear red lips with a smoky eye! *teenage angst*

Here you can see I kept the darkest part of the shadow fairly close to my lash/crease line so it doesn't overwhelm my hooded eyes. Therein lies the trick to balancing a bold lip and bold eye! Even
The brown transition shade really adds a softness to the deep charcoal on the main part of the lid.
Can I just say that this particular red is SO gorgeous? Urban Decay's 69 is one of those universal deep reds that will match most skintones so if you want something really sexy but haven't picked out the perfect red, it should definitely be on your list of reds to try.
